Parents, schools, and professionals looking for support around child confidence, behaviour, motivation, and coaching.
Helping Kids.
A complete Kirby CMS rebuild for a long-term client whose original WordPress website had become difficult to maintain and no longer reflected the business.
Services, parent resources, academy pathways, school programmes, and article-led education content.
A lead-generation website designed to build trust and guide parents, schools, and professionals toward the right services.
A modern website with faster load times, lower maintenance requirements, and a simpler publishing experience for ongoing updates.
A website that had served the business well—but had reached the end of its lifecycle.
The client returned after nearly ten years, giving us the opportunity to rethink both the design and the technology behind the website while building on an established relationship. The original website had supported the business well for almost a decade, but over time it became slower, harder to maintain, and increasingly difficult to update with confidence. The design no longer reflected the quality of the services being offered, and routine WordPress maintenance had become another task to manage.
Rather than assuming WordPress was the only option, we discussed rebuilding the site using both WordPress and Kirby. After reviewing the client’s publishing workflow, maintenance concerns, and long-term goals, Kirby proved to be the better fit. The business didn’t need a large plugin ecosystem—it needed a dependable, low-maintenance website that would remain easy to manage for years to come.
Existing articles were carefully migrated while the rest of the website was restructured around a new content architecture and visual design. A tailored Kirby implementation designed around the way the client actually works. Where additional functionality was needed, it was introduced selectively rather than through unnecessary complexity.
A website that had become difficult to maintain
Routine updates and maintenance had gradually become a source of frustration. The new platform removes much of that operational overhead, allowing the owner to focus on running the business instead of maintaining software.
A design that no longer reflected the business
The rebuild introduced a modern visual identity, clearer navigation, and a more approachable experience for parents, schools, and professionals exploring the services.
A publishing experience built around the owner
Instead of adapting to a generic CMS, the editing experience was tailored to the content the business publishes most often, making routine updates faster and far more intuitive.
What improved after the rebuild.
A cleaner, more focused dashboard.
Kirby provides a cleaner and more focused administration experience, making it easier to publish new content and manage existing pages without worrying about unnecessary complexity.
Reduced operational overhead.
Moving away from the previous setup reduced hosting overhead, eliminated routine plugin maintenance, and delivered a noticeably faster website for visitors.
Tailored without complexity.
The rebuilt website includes tailored functionality where required while remaining lightweight and maintainable, making future updates easier without introducing unnecessary dependencies.
A rebuild designed for the next decade.
This project wasn’t simply about replacing WordPress. It was an opportunity to rethink how the website supported the business. By recommending Kirby after reviewing the client’s needs, we delivered a faster, easier-to-manage website with a modern design, a more intuitive publishing experience, and lower long-term maintenance requirements.
How Elandio approaches platform decisions.
This project demonstrates how Elandio approaches platform decisions. Rather than recommending a CMS by default, we evaluate how the business operates, how content is managed, and what level of flexibility and maintenance makes sense over the long term. For this client, Kirby CMS offered the right balance of simplicity, performance, and control.
